Incremental Optical Encoder

Celesco Transducer Products' CS15 Incremental Optical Encoder is a compact "size-15" servo-mount encoder and is 1.5 inches in diameter, less than one inch in height and offers four different resolution options from 100 to 2500 pulses per turn. It is a solution for OEM and single-piece user alike. The CS15 provides rotary position and velocity information to operate motion control and robotic systems. Each encoder ships with opto-asic circuitry designed to provide a clean, reliable quadrature output signal to most PLC or electrical interface. Precision ball bearings support a durable stainless steel shaft to help ensure this durability and long life. Environmental suitability is IP50 and it can be operated at temperatures from 0 to 185F.

Other standard features of the CS15 include:

  • Size 15, servo-mount
  • 6 mm dia. shaft
  • 4 resolution options: 100, 1000, 2000 and 2500 pulses per turn
