Extreme 1000 Series Encoder

Extreme 1000 Series Encoder

The Extreme 1000 series from Leine & Linde are encoders for severe environments and are available through the Heidenhain Corp. The measurement and function range on the encoder is designed to meet the requirements of the steel, crane and mining machinery industries. In such applications, the encoder is exposed to extreme mechanical stress, vibrations and shock, as well as dusty environments with high temperatures.

The Leine & Linde 1000 series encoder has sturdy bearings and enclosures while maintaining durability and absolute pulse encoders with the PROFIBUS interface can now be used in extremely tough industrial environments by using the 1000 Series. Different incremental and absolute versions of the 1000 series are available, and a combination of the various encoder types can even be integrated in the same 1000 series product. The absolute variants are also available with interfaces such as SSI, EnDat, CANopen, DeviceNet or with a parallel output with resolutions up to 25 bit. The enclosure is rated IP67 to protects the encoder's internal components from dust and liquids. Stainless steel housing is available as a special option.
