Red-Fluorescing Light Cure Adhesive in Gel Formulation

Henkel Corp.'s Loctite 3979Light Cure Adhesive is a translucent, non-sagging gel formulation designed tofill moderate gaps without migrating beyond its intended location. Loctite 3979cures in seconds upon exposure to UV/visible light and fluoresces red for easyon-part detection prior to or following cure.

Loctite 3979 Light Cure Adhesiveoffers high adhesion (up to 3500 psi) on plastic, metal and glass substratesand is ideal for use on parts that feature inherent blue fluorescing agents.This single-component, gel viscosity adhesive can be used on vertical or poroussurfaces as it will not drip, run or migrate. Curing to depths greater than0.25 inches, Loctite 3979 is ISO-10993 biocompatible and can be used forbonding or sealing a range of medical devices including medical tubing andfluid/respiratory devices.

This non-drip adhesive cures tack-free on exposure to the appropriate intensityof UV/visible light. Loctite 3979will withstand temperatures ranging from -65 to 300F and is available in both25 ml syringes and 300 ml cartridges, Loctite 3979 can be dispensed manually orwith automated dispense equipment. This adhesive can be used in a range ofapplications including medical device, appliance, electrical component,electronic, wire tacking and general industrial bonding and sealing.
