Thanks tombrew. This feels a lot like Java and would be much easier to handle for people familiar with Java.

Right, Andrew, I recall those rules, too when I published on Gadget Freak.
So now we can re-publish here from our other articles?

Thanks for the link, Tom - I'll check it out.

Just an FYI - To create links in your post, highlight the words you want to be your link as you are composing your message, then click on the "chain" icon you can find below your text composition window. A new window will then pop up where you can paste your mega-long link. Make sure you also choose "open link in new window" so people don't get lost from this site...

I hope that helps!

Goodness! That link died when the project moved to PDF. So sorry for the inconvenience. The code is here: https://github.com/electricimp/examples/tree/master/tempBug

Does anyone know of a tutorial or documentation for programming in Squirrel? Looks like you can do some cool things with this gadget but I haven't used Squirrel before...

Nice job. When I did my GF projects, the rules were that the project had to be published for the first time. It could not have been published previously elsewhere. It also cannot be published elsewhere for a period of time afterward, 3 months, I think.

If the exclusivity rules have changed, I may have other projects to publish on Gadget Freak. Would somebody please tell me what the rules are, now?

Looks like the links to the code didn't carry over into the pdf.  I knew I'd seen this before - it was orginally posted on Instructibles.  If you go there, you'll find the links to the code and sites he used: http://www.instructables.com/id/TempBug-internet-connected-thermometer/

Cool stuff Thomas. Perfect example of how a project should be. Simple, useful and modular.
