I love my little dog, and do love just killing time in the yard, in the sun with her.  But how is this device not simply just a thermometer-?

Glad to see tech being used to make our pets more confortable... even if it's a cute dog, they always suffer at some point.

Debera,

I agree. Thats a very good observation regarding the device being able to measure temperature of caged animals. Again, wondering if the device clips on the animals collar for temperature monitoring.

That is great that healthcare is not just for humans, These days in our society people are working for the health of animals as well and this is really a great inititative it will help keep cats and dogs comfortable in hot sunny days. But does this device measures the temperature of the cage in which dogs are or the whole area  as well.

I agree, Healthcare is not just for humans but all living things on this earth. Just curious interms of how to use the device: does it clip on the collar of the animal to monitor vitals?

Yes, would be nice to know a bit more about this! I think lots of pet owners would be into it if it was available to them.

I have the same questions as Elizabeth.  I clicked on the link to view the product page but I don't read Japanese and couldn't navigate the site.

This is definitely on-trend.  "Care" for one another, for the planet, for the animals has driven lots of new products.

Cabe, I have to admit, when I first read the headline, I thought you meant the FOOD "hot dogs." Of course, then I read it again and read the article. I think this is clever for my dog-owning friends (I have cats and they generally stay in the shade or indoors in the hottest times of the year). How would you measure the temperature on the dog itself? Hold the reader next to him/her?
