For those of you who mentioned having the eyes move, here is a link to a YouTube video of another pair of eyes that I had made. These do move side to side. http://youtu.be/LLystzKET18

Don, I write create work instructions as part of the services my company provides.  Yours for this project are outstanding.  Great job in formatting.  The projects seems to be one a univeristy student would certainly enjoy.  Excellent "Freak" example.

Nice project Don, you should upload a video of the animatronic rock once it's done!

Doesn't the picture at the bottom of the home page have a "play" button in the lower left corner. It plays fine for me.

Re: Motion sensor?

Sorry I missed that.  The motion sensor is a Parallax PIR Motioon Sensor. It can be found at this link http://www.robotshop.com/en/parallax-pir-motion-sensor.html

I have another project that does have it's eyes move, on YouTube. This particular project did not ask for the eyes to move and I didn't have the budget to add the feature (it was done on commission for an LA artist).

Motion sensor?

What motion sensor are you using? I don't see it specified in the BOM or the text. Otherwise, the project looks pretty well documented. As someone else said, it would be a lot cooler to have the eyes move as well.
