Price was my biggest gripe I had with Dassault Systemes. I numerous occasions I asked them to make a free version for students to learn on. Otherwise, guess what.... they are going to pirate it. 

Years later.. we have this! It's something...

Dassault will eventually reap great benefits from this partnership because the user base of engineers who use 3DEXPERIENCE will increase.  New engineers graduating from school will be familiar with this software and will have a preference to use it in their future work environment.  Also, many aerospace subcontractors will be required to purchase a license to allow editing of the new designs sent to them.
