Ann, I am not certain just what I think about them in my area. BUT part of considering secondary results of actions is considering how things may be neutralized. Besides that, the cjhallenge of arriving at a way to neutralize whatever calls itself the authority is always entertaining. Not to do it, but to determine how it could be done. It is a challenge sort of thing.
Also, one of the things that I am rewarded for is finding ways to avoid what others may do. It's a problem solving sort of thing.

But if you really don't want drones in your area there are ways to discourage them from coming near you. Some of the ways are more subtle, while others are quite a bit lkess subtle.
