Hey if any of you live or plan on visiting Columbus, Ohio.....don't wear Google Glass in a movie theater. They'll call National Security on you and haul you off! I guess "possibly" filiming a movie is worse than terrorism.

AnandY, on this I must agree with everything you said. I have way more concerns that you do tho. What if you take your phone on a trip per say, lose it, and it has all of your credit cards on it? And what about the person that has it now...hackers will find a way to get the info...they always do. I understand the idea, but it has always scared me. It probably is the way of the future, but it still scares me.

AnandY, you make some good points and I agree with most of them. I think it could be great for designers as well. Just walk in a room, get exact dimensions...that would save so much time. So as with a lot of new tech coming out, you have to look at the good and the bad. Sometimes it takes awhile for those things to come out.

Google's Tango Project is being received with mixed sentiments by technology experts. It can open new horizons for individual mobile users in the realm of sensing. At the same time it can pose some serious privacy and security threats. These security threats are not restricted to data security. Instead they are potential infrastructure security loopholes and can be exploited by trouble makers easily.

@ naperlou, yes it would be great to have every card in one electronic package. Everyone would be happy to have such a luxury that could relieve them of the burden of carrying all the cards around if we could somehow discount the security concerns. But we can't. Credit card transactions are still problematic when in transition from buying point to the back-end system.

The apps looks cool but downloading it eats my time. It is very slow. The product should be flexible and consumer friendly.

I agree, I have something like that for my store cards on my iPhone, it's an app where you enter the card No. and it presents a barcode on the LCD screen for those stores that use barcode scanners. Sad thing is that the multiplexing which makes the LCD display work results in a barcode that can only be read 5% of the time. Some operators say great idea and happily manually enter the barcode, while others get cheesed off. Sad world we live in.

While it is a nice idea to have one's credit cards carried in an electronic package, the real issue is security.  I just noticed that there was a major security flaw in the iOS that makes one's information vulnerable.  I wonder if this is ready for prime time given the problems that credit card issuers have run into recently.
