Looks like someone got a call for assistance! I don't know if there is a chance of catching up now but it doesn't hurt to dream. When is all of the voting over? I guess not enough people want the 10 keys to better living!
I figured that if I won the final round, I would have to build another groan detector to show off at the trade show, as I have already delivered it to the lady I built it for. That was a concern to me, but I just got an email from her that she wants another one, whether I win the contest or not. She has become so dependent on it that if it breaks, or something happens to it, that she would be lost without it. Apparently, she finds it useful.
Rob, it is now officially on the list for our next family project. We will begin brainstorming what to do over Thanksgiving break. We are having some college students over for Thanksgiving dinner - maybe i can get them involved as well.
I think you nailed it, Habib. Ultimately, if people vote for what they can most relate to, that's a fair criteria given that all of the projects are technically worthy. Given that all of the pass the quality test, the winner will be the one that pleases the greatest number of voters.
I agree, Nancy. I am always in awe of what people come up with, being someone only with writing and journalistic skills and not any actual technical skills to do any of the things I write about. I really admire people who can design innovate like this, especially just because they want to and not because it's for a particular job they're doing.
Although plastics make up only about 11% of all US municipal solid waste, many are actually more energy-dense than coal. Converting these non-recycled plastics into energy with existing technologies could reduce US coal consumption, as well as boost domestic energy reserves, says a new study.
