My HTC One doesn't allow for access to the battery as well. I don't like the fact that I will have to take it to the store to get it replaced if it ever fails but there hasn't been any indication of power loss for a year and a half now.
Good points, Ken E. I don't think any of my Apple products ever really gave up the ghost, nor did their batteries fail, before I decided to replace them. I decided all on my own usually because maybe they were slowing down a bit or there was a cool new version of the product out. So perhaps the battery debate isn't really that important.
Do the batteries fail that often? Since the advent of Li batteries, I don't know of anyone who had one of those fail, although admittedly my sphere makes for a small sample set.
For that matter, no Apple product I or my family has ever owned has ever failed before becoming technically obsolete. Does Apple really need high repairability scores, if reliability is high? Does the hated glue actually contribute to that?
I have aquaintences who have had hardware failures, some of which Apple honored outside of warranty, something which certainly cemented their loyalty.
These products are impressive but what I find more impressive are these teardowns. I shudder to imagine taking tools to one of my precious Apple devices, but I am glad someone does. Getting to look inside these devices is fascinating.
We cant exactly say that Apple has lost its market because still there is a certain segment of market who goes for Apple only no doubt Apple has many competitive advantages. Yes these hybrid laptops is a good innovation and when there are more competitors in the market the end result is variety of products but i am sure that Apple will bring something new because we all know that its marketing strategy is very unique first products are created and then they develop its demand.
yes ipad does have a better display and processor but then ipad is around $330 expensive. yoga has a Quad core, 1200 MHz processor, for a tablet you rarely clock the processor to even 50% of its capacity. Google is also launching its new Nexus 10 2 in the coming week.
Given how different companies are coming up with good alternatives is really going to push apple to deliver more from its product.
Wal-Mart will hold its second Made in the USA Open Call July 7-8, at its headquarters in Bentonville, Ark. The event will be a repeat effort by the world’s biggest seller of consumer goods to increase the amount of US-made products it sells in Wal-Mart stores, in Sam’s Club members-only wholesale outlets, and on walmart.com.
From design feasibility, to development, to production, having the right information to make good decisions can ultimately keep a product from failing validation. The key is highly focused information that doesn’t come from conventional, statistics-based tests but from accelerated stress testing.
There’s a good chance that a few of the things mentioned here won't fully come to fruition in 2015 but rather much later down the line. However, as Malcolm X once said, "The future belongs to those who prepare for it today."
