Rob,

I have writing Gadget Freak projects on my do to list. Currently wrapping up 2 book projects along with developing curriculum, running, and teaching courses in the Electronics Department at Lawrence County Center of Techonology. Also, teaching at ITT Technical Institute's Electrical Engineering Tech classes. There's a new group of students I will be showing a couple of Gadget Freak videos to peak their interest in submitting a project/video.

Rob,

The gloved hand controller is definitely the Gadget Freak of the Year. Gesture Controls are becoming mainstream in the video gaming industry along with CAD/Graphics Design tools manufacturers. Also, the students documentation was well written and easy to follow for assembly.

I agree, AnandY. The gloved hand is inspirational. Last year we saw another Gadget Freak project that utilized a glove for control.

This is not as easy as it may sound especially for people who are fans of technology like me. These are quite a lot of options but I think the one that takes the show is the glove hand that controls an airplane. This kind of technology could be used for so many purposes that would ensure that there are more efficient services. Imagine having something moved from one place to another by air without having to move a muscle. The others are also good but personally I would prefer the glove hand. This is a very nice way of encouraging people to come up with new technology.

Looks like the gloved hand may be a runaway winner here. It's often the product developed by students that become the cool gadget.
