Sherlock: If you look at your total wattage produced during the brake of such a small power & inertia. Then compare it to the total wattage of 2 of your H birdge transistors, the motor (which will take half the power by definition, and the wiring ... you are more than likely way in the green. IMHO
danlafleur: It might be possible but keep in mind a motor is linear. A pure magnetic solenoid happens on a "Q^4" th attraction. It would take a fast system with a LOT of resolution to have a chance. IMHO Be safe
This was a very valuable session for me. The details on QEI and PI in an ARM controller are interesting. The older literature I have (including school back in the dark ages) does not have that information.
