I know, TJ – I thought the same thing – interesting choice of mannequin placement for the Ad.  Those voids usually do bring a charge.  Oh! School Yard fodder!

Power from Heat -- and from Smell-?

Looking at the material description used in the laminates of the sleeping bag, I bet that it's very hot to sleep in (like sleeping in a plastic wrap). Guessing it doesn't breathe too well.  Wonder if you'll able to harvest power from the odiferous smell of BO that builds up in it-?

Glad you're excited about this TJ. ;) And good point that there is so much more that can be done with this. I think as it's just a prototype now, the fabric and technology can certainly be expanded in the future. And I just wrote a story that's not posted yet about researchers that developed electricity-conducting yarn that can be woven into fabric for all sorts of applications. So I think this type of clothing will become very popular in the future.

@a.saji true it should utilize effective and efficient way.

We should pay more attention to this kind of energy harvesting methods which is use the unused things as a source of energy, rather than depending on other things like petroleum or water.

@vimalkumarp exactly, there may be lot of unknown ways of harvesting the energy. The real challenge is identifying those.

Elizabeth thanks for highlighting those for others knowledge.
