The second Bullitt picture is not the 1968 but the 2008-9 Bullitt Mustang that Ford produced to honor the film.  It's a great car I own Serial number 6001 and have had it since new.  edit: Oopps didn't see slide 9....

Yes, rruther2, it's almost impossible to do a slideshow like this without a car from Barris. They did the atmobile, Munster Koach, Beverly Hillbillies truck, KITT from Nightrider and many more.

I just knew there would be the Barris custom Batmobile and others but a guy could be wrong. Chech it (them) out.

Maxwell Smart drove a Sunbeam Tiger (V8), not a Sunbeam Alpine in the opening credits of "Get Smart"...it was the dream car of my youth...it fact, I still wish I owned one.

Those who like the Bullitt chases scene should watch a 1973 film called "The Seven-Ups." That movie has a a similar chase scene, directed by the same director. It even uses the same (very easily recognizable) stunt driver as Bullitt.

Yes, wealthy characters did have car phones in some of the old movies, Tweet. I recently saw an old Bond movie (I think it was Goldfinger) and Sean Connery was talking on a car phone from his Aston Martin.

Everyone has their favorites. Mine is the Rolls Royce Silver Cloud coach-built convertible in Blow Up. It had a PHONE!

How about that beast of a vehicle from the awful movie adaption of Roger Zelazny's Damnation Alley? Each wheel was composed of three tractor tires and rotated to go over large obstacles.
