Natcore President and CEO Chuck Provini's statement "To make solar cells cost-competitive, we must reduce their cost and increase their output," I think really hits the nail on the head. We have talked about the advantages of renewable energy for years but these are two huge hurdles that have prevented their mainstream marketability. I am excited to see these new developments.
I think dark solar has a lot of potential to improve the efficiency of solar cells and also make it easier to develop them. This work being done is exciting and sometimes it's a long road from the research lab to the commercial market. it's good to see it commercialized already and hopefuly other companies wil follow suit.
