I am really excited to use this Smartmouse as WII remote as it will make life easier . All these new technologies are showing how much advancement is going on in this era . Majority of the things are becomming mobile and autonomous .Using a mouse as a data centre is an exciting idea as well . I am too anxious to use this mouse in actual .

Cabe, when compared with play station its reasonable, still I feel it is expensive to penetrate the market. I thought that it would be less than 50$.

Pubudu,

It is already out. And it is at the $80 USD price point. It is almost 25% the cost of a Playstation 4, to put it into perspective. Do you think it is priced right?

Pubudu,

The mouse it up for pre-order right now. First deliveries are expected in June. So, head over there today and support their cause!

I would assume the between computers connectivity has a lot to do with device pairing. Microsoft Research did some work in this area. Perhaps exactly what the Ego Mouse uses.

Cadman,

Although a novel way of interfacing, I find using the Wii to be tiring – especially if I am tired.

I couldn't see hapless cubical workers wanting to tire themselves out with something like this.

I believe there are Wiimote hacks/mod that let them be used on a PC, ever try?

I agree with your list, Cabe. Except I have "graduated" from the mouse to the trackpad, at least on an Apple, which is far superior for everything except the cut-and-paste movements required in editing copy. I still need a mouse for that.

"Unauthorized computer use is always an issue, even without this mouse. I think security should always be applied. The real problem is someone might just steal the mouse!"

Cabe, exactly and I meant the same.

This is mighty impressive stuff. The features that really caught my eye is the VGA camera for authentication. I'm concerned about the price range of something this sophisticated though. They should make it affordable for the masses.

Cabe, is this in the market for sale or still in the research level? If it is in the market what will e the retail price and where I can buy this mouse.
