That makes sense, TJ. Steel ball bearings will get replaced when the design engineer designs a product that fits the capabilities of the plastic or other material. Is there a cost savings on the plastic bearings?

Rob, from a capacity standpoint I agree with you.  One cannot replace a steel ball bearing with a dimensionally equal plastic one - the load capacity is much much lower.

But if one works within the bearing's capabilities, one can solve some pretty difficult problems with plastic.
