Mindboggling - we used to tell our kids that reading books would stir their imaginations in ways that television was incapable of because of its inherent limitations, but now it looks like there is a way to transfer the wildest of imaginations directly to the big screen...
Professional actors have been ready for this for years. The last writers strike was highly supported by actors who were also fighting for fair pay in new media. Ex-NFL and NBA players are suing Electronic Arts and other video game makers for using their likeness in games without compensation.
Now that SAG and AFTRA have merged, some agreements are bring re-looked at. We'll see what happens.
