Ahh, JC Whitney. A friend of mine had bought a kit for his motorcycle from JC Whitney. In the process of putting it all together we had a terrible time with one bolt. I examined the bolt and found that the threads were the correct pitch but they were concentric rather than being a spiral! We ran down to NAPA to get real bolt and the guy at the counter couldn't stop laughing at the bolt. I asked how much for the real bolt and the counter man held the JC Whitney bolt close to his chest. "If you let me have this one the good bolt is free."

good point. Toyota had emphasis on importance of pedals. whether we are refering to pedals, brakes, or clutches, so I try getting parts from jcwhitney automotive parts online when I need to repair/replace parts... controlled acceleration should always be applied, when I need to repair/replace parts I
