Just reading through the scope of what's required in terms of pilots is likely to keep many companies sitting on the sidelines, despite the huge potential RFID can have on supply chain and manufacturing operations. I'm wondering if that's the reason RFID has been slower to make a mark than initially expected. While introduced with great fanfare and with promises of delivering transformative change, the actual implementations and pilots of companies doing real use cases with RFID has been somewhat disappointing, at least according to what I've read. Now I understand why.
