WOW.  Keep inventory ready.  This from the country that perfected JIT / lean manufacturing.

I would love to see the JIT trend reversed.  Suppliers lead times have increased these past few years as they decrease their inventories to save money.

Great example of a company willing to do what it takes to get back on its feet and learn from past experiences to do better going forward. The pictures of the before and after are telling, although it looks like Renesas fared better than a lot of companies in that region. Hopefully they won't have chance to prove they can do better next time!
