As the COVID-19 pandemic has spread across the planet, governments, organizations, and companies have increasingly turned to virtual and augmented reality technologies to help the home-bound populous enjoy tours of national parks, museums, the space station, and major cities.  

Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies allow everything from museums and parks to hotels and cities to show accurate 360-degree photos and videos of their spaces. Top tourist destinations and marketers are also using AR/VR to convince visitors with a try-before-you-buy approach – once the pandemic has safely passed.

Here’s a collection of AR and VR experiences that are worth a quick visit. All can be experienced with almost any electronic display device but several a best seen with AR or VR technologies.
