Thanks, apresher. It's true--not only technology for the awareness of new connected devices but also security of them will become more important as industrial networks become more advanced and interconnected. This is something that's also happening in the typical company network as well, but as businesses have been using more mobile devices for some time, that industry is further along in securing the network.

Excellent story. These kind of tools are essential for industrial networking to achieve its next level of development. With security issues and general management problems, there needs to be new tools that make all of this more manageable.  Glad to see these developments.

As industrial networks become more intelligent and are connected to more devices, there will be an increased need to manage and secure these devices. Adding these types of functionality to network control panels will help those in charge keep better track of all the myriad devices on an increasingly more complex network.
