Logic PD Torpedo + Wireless System on Module
The Logic PD Torpedo + Wireless (T+W) System on Module is embedded technology that encapsulates the most complex design components on a dime-sized board and offers wireless capabilities, high performance, and the lowest power consumption available. 
OEMs employ the T+W SOM to design end products easier and deliver them to market faster. This SOM offers designers a tiny, off-the-shelf wireless interface that enables remote connectivity and eliminates the local user interface. It allows developers to dramatically condense hardware space requirements and increase system performance.
Ten times smaller than the competition, the T+W SOM can provide instant on functionality by loading mission-critical drivers and peripherals in the Linux BSP. This supporting software is highly attractive to companies that develop life-critical battlefield and medical devices as it makes new technical developments possible. Customized to meet specific product requirements, this advancement enables Logic PD SOM customers to develop battery-powered devices that power on significantly faster than competing end user products, and give end users the ability to use their devices faster and for longer periods of time.

The T+W SOM is FCC certified, which saves customers significant time and money by reducing design risk and shortening the final EMC testing phase. Logic PD developed the T+W SOM based on Texas Instruments' DaVinci DM3730 video processor and WiLink 7.0 combo connectivity solution. The SOM provides PC-like speeds up to 1 GHz, long battery life, and a WL1283 wireless chipset that includes 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth with a roadmap to support GPS.  Based on these technologies Logic PD developed the hardware, software, and technology integration for its embedded solution.
