Rockwell Automation Bolsters Mid-Range Machine-Builders Control Platform

Rockwell Automation's CompactLogix platform uses a common control engine and development environment to offer machine and equipment builders a compact, less expensive design environment. The company bolstered the platform with a range of new modules, including an integrated drive-motor system, servo drive and motor, managed switch, programmable controllers, and a virtual monitoring solution. It's inevitable that this kind of design environment would trickle down to the midrange product offerings. Can't be too much longer before it makes it to entry-level motion systems.

Yes, Charles, for sure. It just makes sense to give machine builders as many of the tools they need in one place, even for entry-level equipment.
