Now that we rely so much on batteries -- for nearly every device we use during the day -- it's good to see the technology of batteries advancing like this.

Agreed.  Its easy to take for granted the advanced and complex technology that allows these smart battery packs to work so well.  These electronics allow batteries to perform safely and effectively in many of today's demanding applications.

Indeed Rob, advancements in EV batteries for greater efficiency and distance should be on par with mobile devices, however I don't see the demand being on the same level as smart devices.

I think you're right Cabe. I also don't think the competitive forces are as strong as with smart devices. Of course, that could change once there's a breakthrough in technology.
