changes coming in industrial sensors and control

Chuck, this type of advance can really change the way industrial sensors are designed.  In the past one might have used some sort of shaft encoder, while now other types of sensors might be of interest. 

As for the IoT, this is how it all starts.  Lots of digital data which is easily transmitted and saved.  Then you have to analyze it.

This seems like a great industrial product, until you see on the data sheet that the Z axis is limited to 600 Hz. You will need to mount two devices to truely get 3 axis, 2700 Hz performance.
