Thanks for the informative post.  I appreciate the basic design guidelines for micro molding that are included in this article.

Excellent post Aaron--Very informative.  One issue I feel might be relevant to micro-molding is how you "QC" a part, specifically, what techniques are used to measure compliance with critical-to-quality dimensions.  This has to be a bear and require special techniques. 

I was happy you mentioned "additive" manufacturing as a method of initial prototyping.  I follow that technology closely. It's very useful as a tool when doing form, fit and function.

I also feel most of the micro-molded products are "gang-molded" so production occurs with multiple products being produced from one shot.
