Extending the virtual product model

David has been advising on interoperability issues and 3D modeling for a long time and has always been a great resource with valuable insights into product development. It will be interesting to get his take on how new advancements in 3D CAD tools and visualization capabilities extend the idea of the virtual product within the organization as well as the kinds of processes engineering groups are putting in place to make that happen.
