Do they have a slider setting for how soon the device breaks outside warrenty?

Annlyzing failure and life cycle, I feel, is overlooked these days. Take any bit of software, the users are the ones finding the bugs. Or hardware that fails immediately.

Mean time between failure testing should not follow the practices accepted by law. IE: Test 100,000 devices for 1 hour each. When one fails, attatch a life expectancy at 100,000 hours. This is wrong.

(I worked at a company that did just that to devices. I thought it was a scam.)

I am grad to see development in this area. Getting back to the time when devices could take more punishment sounds like a dream.
