I agree that level of complexity is increasing in hybrid cars day by day. But I could not imagine why it would overwhelmed engineering. Relatively speaking one CBD could be more or less complex than others. But the maturity of knowledge (and automated tools) to handle or measure such complexity (in electronics) is also increasing.

A case in point --> Do you think Hybrid electronics in Cars are more complex that IPhone?

i agree that the level of creativity and complexity of every auto manufucturers has been into the highst level. even the oem replacement parts was created thoroughly.

An individual system within the hybrid may not be more complex than an iPhone, but there are a great number of systems that have to be interoperable. That gets very complex.
