Wireless is the way to go for sensing applications. The infrastructure is there, used daily, and robust. In some cases, the networks are self-healing. It's a no-brainer that the trend is going wire free. Some companies are even taking the data logging and analysis burden away from some companies. Placing it all in the cloud. Not having to lay an infinite distance of wire, in these cases, also saves the planet for vital resources. It's the way to go.
