TURCK's new line of
temperature transmitters, the TTM series, features an analog output that
eliminates the need for specialized RTD PLC input cards. The transmitters'
stainless steel connections make them suitable in the food and beverage arena.
The TTM series have a 4-20 mA output using an integrated PT100 resistance
temperature detector. TTM series sensors are plug-and-play and come pre-scaled
at 0 to 100C, 0 to 150C, -50 to 50C or -50 to 150C.
Producing high-quality end-production metal parts with additive manufacturing for applications like aerospace and medical requires very tightly controlled processes and materials. New standards and guidelines for machines and processes, materials, and printed parts are underway from bodies such as ASTM International.
Engineers at the University of San Diego’s Jacobs School of Engineering have designed biobatteries on commercial tattoo paper, with an anode and cathode screen-printed on and modified to harvest energy from lactate in a person’s sweat.
