Parker Fluid Control
Division's new line of Vortex Shedding Flow Meters monitor the flow
of cooling fluid for resistance welders, slurry pump seal water, machine
coolant and steam boiler feed water. Parker Flow Meters can be used for cooling
water to furnace walls and inductors in steel mills; cooling boiler feed pumps
and turbine bearing cooling in power generation plants; as well as for rubber,
mining, municipal wastewater treatment and water addition in chemical and
Parker Flow Meters feature
no moving parts to clog or wear out, providing life-long reliability and
requiring little maintenance. The meters operate with NPT ports ranging from ¼
- 2 inch in size and can handle flows from 4 - 200 GPM, with occasional
over-ranging up to 125 percent of capacity without damaging the meter. Parker
Flow Meters feature 4-20 mA flow rate transmitters and can withstand working
pressures from 10 - 300 PSIG. They are designed to operate efficiently at fluid
and ambient temperatures from 35 - 150F. CSA- and CE-certified, the flow meters
are built with a stainless steel or bronze body with PVDF sensors and FKM
seals. The company supplies standard units equipped with a solid state relay,
which customers can set to a pulse output or a flow alarm. User-friendly
three-digit LED displays make the meters easy to use, and can customize the
product by selecting between GPM or LPM units of measurement.
The flow meters require 10 -
30V dc @ 80 mA input power, attached via pin connectors and are compatible with
female NPT pipe connections. Parker Fluid Control Division offers a two-year
warranty on this product line. These rugged inline flow meters are solutions
for applications utilizing water, water/glycol coolant and other low-viscosity
United Launch Alliance will fly 3D-printed flight hardeware parts on its rockets starting next year with the Atlas V. The company's Vulcan next-gen launch vehicle will have more than 100 production parts made with 3D printing. The main driver? Parts consolidation and 57% lower production costs.
The new small-form-factor EZ-BLE PRoC (Programmable Radio on Chip) module is a derivative of the existing PRoC BLE Programmable Radio-on-Chip solution. The EZ-BLE PRoC module integrates the programmability and ARM Cortex-M0 core of the PRoC BLE, two crystals, an onboard chip antenna, a metal shield, and passive components.
The engineers and inventors of the post WWII period turned their attention to advancements in electronics, communication, and entertainment. Breakthrough inventions range from LEGOs and computer gaming to the integrated circuit and Ethernet -- a range of advancements that have little in common except they changed our lives.
