Pepperl+Fuchs' AS-Interface
Handheld VBP-HH1-V3.0-110V
is an addressing device for AS-Interface specification 3.0.
The AS-Interface
programming tool can
be used to program and test the functionality of AS-Interface slaves, provide
permanent data exchange with AS-Interface slaves, support data exchange with
4E4A
slaves in extended addressing mode,
and indicate the safety code for AS-Interface
Safety-at-Work
slaves. These
battery-powered handheld programmers provide short
circuit and overload protection of the slave connection. They are IP20
protected and rated for use in temperatures ranging from 0 to 40C (32 to 104F).
The AS-Interface 3.0
Handheld is an enhancement to the company's version 2.1 programmer, and has
these new features:
Support
for specification 3.0 profiles, with the ability to set outputs on
4in/4out modules with extended addressing
Extended
"power-on" time to support the
programming of safe output modules
Ability
to read the safety sequence from safety input modules
Semi-automatic
addressing, where the unit stores previously programmed addresses for
quick programming of an entire network, while minimizing the chance of a
duplicate address
Faster
address programming, where arrow keys and a program button are the sole
requirements to set the module address
Using almost 200 light-emitting diodes in the front and back of the new 2014 CTS, Cadillac designers are showing how LEDs can change the character of a vehicle.
We looked at a number of sources to determine this year's greenest cars, from KBB to automotive trade magazines to environmental organizations. These 14 cars emerged as being great at either stretching fuel or reducing carbon footprint.

A quick look into the merger of two powerhouse 3D printing OEMs and the new leader in rapid prototyping solutions, Stratasys. The industrial revolution is now led by 3D printing and engineers are given the opportunity to fully maximize their design capabilities, reduce their time-to-market and functionally test prototypes cheaper, faster and easier. Bruce Bradshaw, Director of Marketing in North America, will explore the large product offering and variety of materials that will help CAD designers articulate their product design with actual, physical prototypes. This broadcast will dive deep into technical information including application specific stories from real world customers and their experiences with 3D printing. 3D Printing is
