The Plug and Play Hose
system consists of Parflex 515H
hose and the Parker RA (Rapid Assembly) quick connecting hose fittings and
adapters. Parflex 515H hose is a light weight, fiber reinforced, low pressure
thermoplastic hose that has great kink resistance. Typically, a ┬╝ inch 515H
hose has a 20 percent smaller diameter than a standard 100R1 hose and a 25
percent tighter bend radius. It is also 5 times lighter than comparable hoses.
The brass RA quick connect fittings offer plug and
play convenience in a very compact, anti-corrosive and economical system. The
connector design is simple, durable and easy to install, eliminating the need
for wrenches or other tools. However, the RA series fittings are not live swivels and care should be
taken to insure that relative movement between the adapter and the hose fitting
is eliminated. Sealing is achieved through the use of petroleum
and synthetic hydraulic oil resistant elastomeric o-rings. á
Parflex 515H hose is useful
for routing through tight spaces while maintaining the flexibility of a more
robust hose and is often used in pilot lines or joy stick applications where
multiple hoses are required to fit into a tight space. Sizes range from 3/16
I.D. up to ┬Ż inch I.D. in a single or multi-line assembly.
As manufacturers add new technologies to their products, designing for compliance becomes more difficult.áPrepare for the certification testing process. Otherwise, you increase the risk of discovering a safety issue after a product leaves the assembly line. That willácause significant time-to-market delays,ábe much costlier to fix, and damage your brand in the eyes of customers.á
Stratasys will be exhibiting two groundbreaking large-scale additive manufacturing technologies, as well as other new products, next month at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago.
Two new technologies from Stratasys, created in partnership with Boeing, Ford, and Siemens, will bring accurate, repeatable manufacturing of very large thermoplastic end products, and much bigger composite parts, onto the factory floor for industries including automotive and aerospace.
Focus on Fundamentals consists of 45-minute on-line classes that cover a host of technologies.
You learn without leaving the comfort of your desk. All classes are taught by subject-matter experts and all are archived.
