This valve comes in a singlecoil configuration, weighs only 4 oz and uses only 7.8W at 28V dc. It runs at an operating pressure of 3,000 psi, with a minimum flow at that pressure of 4.0 GPM (300 Lohms). It maintains its efficiency and low-power consumption with a unique plunger design and innovative materials in the magnetic circuit. It also uses the company's patented Lee Multi-Seal® technology to eliminate ordinary O-rings and back-up rings. It also allows two ports to be sealed in the same axial plane.
Our LinkedIn systems and product design engineering group discusses if they are happy with their decision of remaining a technical contributor instead of becoming a manager.
Against a backdrop of mounting product complexity and a need to keep a lid on development costs, companies are recognizing a need to make simulation a more integral part of the design process. In response, vendors in the CAD world are building out CAE functionality as part of their CAD suites while simulation vendors are building tighter integrations to leading CAD tools. Keith Meintjes, Ph.D., Practice Manager, Simulation and Analysis at CIMdata, Inc., joins Design News CAD Editor Beth Stackpole in this radio program to explore the new face of integrated CAD and CAE, how companies are benefitting from this tighter partnership between platforms, and how integrating CAE earlier in the development cycle pays off in optimized product designs.
