PIC16C432 and PIC16C433 small footprint microcontrollers are designed with built-in Local Interconnect Network transceiver capabilities. According to the company, they offer high performance with 2K words of OTP program memory, 128 bytes of data RAM, and require only 35 powerful single-cycle instructions, each 14 bits wide, with the exception of two-cycle program branches. Other on-chip peripherals include an 8-bit real-time clock/counter with 8-bit programmable prescaler, wake-up on bus activity and require only 12V battery operation for the transceiver.

Programmable chip

The company says its FS6219, designed for use in video set-top boxes, is the first 3.3V programmable, three phase-lock loop clock chip with two fully integrated voltage-controlled crystal oscillators. The programmable chip is also said to provide precise tuning, which permits designers to use the same device to meet signal frequency standards for anywhere in the world, thus reducing inventory while increasing cost efficiency.
