Engineers from the automotive industry and its major suppliers will gather on line May 17 for a series of special Design News webcasts on the biggest design challenges—and opportunities—the industry faces. Engineers can attend the webcasts free of charge by registering at www.designnews.com/E2Eauto.
Kicking off the conference will be a keynote interview with Francois Castaing, former vice president of engineering at Chrysler and one of the most knowledgeable automotive-engineering gurus in the industry. Castaing will give his views on the most important issues engineers are grappling with. Attendees can ask him questions in a special online Q/A session following the interview.
After the keynote interview, which begins at 11 a.m. (EST), attendees will be able to select from several webcasts, each with a panel of engineers discussing common problems and recent technology developments. Among the engineering topics to be covered in the webcasts:
-
Inertial Sensors
-
Automotive Safety
-
Powertrains of the Future
-
Cars as Entertainment Centers
-
Paperless Automotive Design
The E2E Online Technical Conference on Automotive Technology is one of several such virtual conferences Design News is organizing. On March 30, 2005, Design News produced E2E on Materials and Fastening. In June, there will be an online conference entitled E2E on Electronics, and next October the subject will be motion control.
Registration for the automotive E2E event May 17 is free at www.designnews.com/E2Eauto.
