SEMICARB(reg)carbon/carbon composites are for applications in Czochralski crystal pulling. The high-temperature, high-purity material can be used in the production of furnace components. The strength of SEMICARB allows it to support its own weight, providing for large, free-standing structures more than 48 inches in diameter and eliminating the need for additional supports. The composite consists of a carbon matrix reinforced with carbon fibers.
