These puppies do more than just sit there and look cute. Sensing a human presence, the interactive, battery-powered toys react with actions and sounds. Motion includes head tilting and movement from side to side. The unit makes several sounds include whimpering, happy panting, soft whines, snoring, playful growling, playful barking and a waking-up noise. Touching the pooch’s nose instigates a low growl. Analog functions include the amplification for the sounds, actuating the motors and motion and touch sensing. Converting the motion sensor’s signal to an input for the microcontroller requires analog circuitry for threshold detection.
