The PBS 100Z and PBS 5Z models of stainless-steel linear scales are for press brakes and CNC machines, and feature self-aligned reading heads. In a synchronized press brake, the descent of the forming punch towards the bed is controlled by the cylinders, which are moved by proportional valves. These valves control the flow of oil to the cylinders precisely. The PBS linear scales send position feedback signals to the CNC controlling the system to ensure the forming punch and bed remain parallel.
