Sandia National Laboratories (www.sandia.gov) is looking for industry partners to license, manufacture, and sell their CapTiteTM suite of capillary fittings, as well as the compatible ChipTiteTM series of manifolds and interconnects. The fittings feature a one-piece ferrule intended to eliminate sealing sleeves and provide pressure capabilities up to 40,000 psi. They present clean, reliable seals that may be used for research applications or in markets such as genomics, HPLC, proteomics, micro-mechanical and micro-hydraulic assemblies.

Norway-based additive manufacturing company Norsk Titanium is building what it says is the first industrial-scale 3D printing plant in the world for making aerospace-grade metal components. The New York state plant will produce 400 metric tons each year of aerospace-grade, structural titanium parts.
