Three new modules are now available for the Oxygen(TM) suite of visual simulation products. Oxygen Collision offers real-time polygon-based collision detection and enables safety distance check, or soft collisions. Oxygen 3D Audio provides advanced 3D sound, supports Lake hardware and software, controls the locations of multiple sound sources and listeners within a virtual acoustic space, and supports output via headphones or up to 16 speakers and room simulations with different acoustic characteristics.
Sciaky, provider of electron-beam additive manufacturing (EBAM) services, will start selling these machines commercially in September. The company has used its EBAM 3D printing technology for making very large, high-value, metal prototypes and production parts for aerospace and defense OEMs.
