The Andretti Green Racing Team is faring well this season, in part due to precise sensing of operating conditions. PCB Piezotronics is a sponsor and its sensors help give the IndyCar racers input on pressure, acceleration and other parameters. All four of the team's cars use PCB's sensors and instrumentation, including dc response accelerometers, torque sensors and load cells. Some of the technologies and techniques used by Andretti Green will be commercialized by a recently formed Automotive Products Div.
