Controller
The PMAC-Pack™controller provides four encoder inputs and four DAC outputs to control four non-commutated axes or two commutated axes. The module manages motors via commutation formats for brushless dc motors, switched reluctance motors, ac induction motors, or microstepping of step motors. Also, the unit uses S curve acceleration and deceleration and time-base control for electronic cam, web handling, and coil winding applications.

Switch
The PushGate™switch features a low-profile panel only 1/10-inch thick. This flat panel design permits the switch to be sealed against extreme environments. A patented, magnetically coupled armature and activator system provides realignment as well as a distinct "click" when pushed and released. This design negates the spongy feel of some membrane switches, and allows for rapid, consistent actuation response.

Controllers
By integrating Ethernet technology, E-Series controllers can be placed adjacent to motors and I/O signals, thus reducing wiring complexity. Programming is simplified and communications are streamlined because a single E-Series controller acts as the master controller sending operations to several slave controllers. To increase effectiveness, each controller can operate two motors.

Pressure
transducers
Pressure sensors and transducers provide gauge, absolute, and differential pressure ranges from 0 to 1,000 psi. Operating from a 5V dc regulated power supply, the devices provide an amplified 0.5 to 4.5V dc signal output. The sensors can be specified with a choice of electrical and pressure connector options as well as a variety of materials such as brass, stainless steel, and plastic composite.

Switch
A new device couples membrane switch construction with five-wire touch-screen technology for custom interface applications. The manufacturing process of the new combined product consists of laminating a membrane switch having a clear lens to the touch screen using an optically clear adhesive. The marrying of the two technologies adds design flexibility and redundancy of critical functions to the electronic assembly.

Position
sensor
A variable impedance transducer (VIT) displacement measuring system provides frequency response to 50 kHz. With measurement ranges from 0.02 inch to 2 inches, the system works effectively with both ferrous and non-ferrous targets. Its dual-coil sensors provide thermal stability in environments where temperature changes are extreme, up to 400F.
