The Motioneering Application Engine uses a systems approach for sizing and selecting brushless, dc servomotor, and stepper motors and drives. It can evaluate requirements for specific applications like lead screw or rack and pinion systems, and add up the effects of multiple axes of motion for power supply and shunt regeneration sizing. Users group motor systems by "project" then select an appropriate motion profile and the system generates a list of acceptable drive, controller, and motor combinations.
