A spacecraft equipped with NDK (www.ndk-j.co.jp/english) surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices has been launched into space for its journey to asteroid "1986SF36" between Mars and Jupiter to collect samples and return them to earth. When it reaches 10m above the asteroid's surface, the spacecraft will drop a target marker onto the landing point, creating a collision impact that's equivalent to firing a cannon.
