Water-based coating for glassware incorporates dyes developed for solvents. The high level of solids in the product, which can be used in spraying and dipping processes, achieves coverage levels of between 500 and 625 sq ft/gal. The formula allows painted items to be handled six minutes after spraying in ambient temperatures, depending on humidity, with no forced-air circulation. When placed in an infrared oven at 125F, coated items dried in two minutes.
